Well Illustrated Edition Of Classic Story 23 September, 2006 This is one of those stories that all kids know, or eventually will. This story was first published around 1952. It is still around and as popular as ever. This says a lot. The story by Marian and the Illustrations by Tibor Gergely in this edition are great. The text is quite readable and the pictures eye catching. The theme of the story "too help" is quite universal and no worse for the wear. This is a nice additon to any childern's library. Recommend this one highly.

Timeless Entertainment 22 August, 2008 This is another of our son's favorites in all the Little Golden Book series. His book is now safely stored in his "keepsake box". Now 20, when we go through his box, he still reads the book and with a smile. Now, his daughter, our grand daughter will have her own copy. Like her father, when she starts to talk, we look forward to her identifying each car on the train! This is a MUST have to read to your children.

Good Old Classics 07 May, 2007 We recently bought these books. At first I was not sure if they really interested my daughter. After a couple of readings my 3 year old daughter has really taken to these stories. She asks a lot of questions and wants to know more about trains and their cars/wagons. I hope she'll be able to see a caboose one day soon. They are not common in my area.
