The book was damaged a little. Also I was overcharged for this book. The price noted on the back of the book was LOWER than the price I paid on Amazon. I was very disappointed!!!

• Inexcusable Spelling Errors 18 January, 2007
I love this story - it is one of my favorite Golden books with wonderful illustrations; however, this particular printing contains two inexcusable contextual spelling errors that a human proofreader would have caught, but a spell check program never could. I have alerted the publisher and requested a correct copy, but apparently they don't care. The offensive bar code is: 9 780307 021687

I read this to our son, sadly, after he "out grew" these books, they were passed on. Happily, after searching all over I found these treasures on Amazon and now have a new collection for our beautiful grand daughter to enjoy.

I had looked for this book for a long time, as it was one of my favorites as a child. The drawings were so cute and my daughter loves the bunnies in the story. A cute Little Golden Book.

• One Of My Sons' Favorite Childhood Books 04 November, 2006
I recently purchased Tawny Scrawny Lion for the baby shower of my first grand-daughter. My daughter-in-law's friends had requested that each guest bring a favorite childhood book to begin Adeline's library. My sons had a version that included both Saggy Baggy Elephant and Tawny Scrawny Lion, which I read repeatedly. Both stories are easy to read and well illustrated. Each also has a positive story line, which I was very comfortable sharing with my boys. Enjoy.
