Product Description Since the death of her husband, Anne Dunne and her three children have struggled in every way. In a last ditch effort to save the family, Anne plans an elaborate sailing vacation to bring everyone together once again. But only an hour out of port, everything is going wrong. The teenage daughter, Carrie, is planning to drown herself. The teenage son, Mark, is high on drugs and ten-year-old Ernie is nearly catatonic. This is the worst vacation ever. Anne manages to pull things together bit by bit, but just as they begin feeling like a family again, something catastrophic happens. Survival may be the least of their concerns. Written with the blistering pace and shocking twists that only James Patterson can master, SAIL takes "Lost" and "Survivor" to a new level of terror.

A Patterson Flop 19 August, 2008 Because of the lead author, I ordered this book. Was I ever disappointed.
This is not the James Patterson of the past, his co-author had to have
written this. It is trite, tacky and terrible. What a waste of money.
Don't order this book....characters are trashy and the story line is so
obvious that you don't need to finish it. Hopefully, Patterson will go back to the way he used to write.Sail

Camp And Entertaining 18 August, 2008 One cannot take this book seriously given all its many booboos. A giant tuna just happens to be caught with the main clue in its mouth; the biggest snake in the world killed by 3 kids. Things just go on and on at a breakneck pace. But it was so much fun to read!!!!
If you just want an entertaning, unrealistic story, short chapters, bad guys to hate, improbable healing of a disfunctional family, this book is for you. It's a fast read, just what I needed here in Florida waiting for FAY to devastate my home!!!!!!

Cliffhangers And Surprise Twists! 19 August, 2008 Sail provided hours of entertainment on a long drive. Surprise twists occurred whenever you thought you knew the plot. Cliffhangers kept you in suspense. Highly recommended for listening enjoyment.
