It is such a treat to meet Dan Zanes for the first time, regardless of your age. While his music truly is the definition of family fun, his books make his music accessible to even the youngest of his listeners. Jump Up! is the second of his collaboration with his brother-in-law, Donald Saaf (a genius in his own genre), and is wonderful in every way.
If you are looking for a baby shower or new baby gift, this book is it.
If you are looking for a holiday gift for a young child, this book is it.
If you want to give a special treat, this book is it.
I bought 5 copies of the book when it was first published, and gave them out as gifts within weeks. This book and accompanying CD are gems. The only better gift would be to buy a new family Dan's entire works!

We just love Dan Zanes! This book was recently added to our library for our daughter's second birthday and it is already a family favorite! The pictures are awesome and of course Dan Zanes and Friends are AWESOME!!!

Ok you rock my world and that of my 3 year old!
This is a beautifully illustrated book with a rockin' CD sampler of Zanes' music. While my little guy listens to Dan Zanes from morning to night it's great to have a companion book for us to make our own music, to sing, and of course to Jump Up!

Everyone in my family loves Dan Zanes. My children adore this book and CD set (as well as the Hello, Hello book and CD set). It makes a great gift for a young child, and the parents will like it too!

• Not That It Is Bad 13 October, 2007
This is an ok book. But my sons who love books didn't particularly love this one. The CD is enjoyable of course. His music is great. So this is a nice little set. But I wish for us I had spent the money on a actual CD and so got more than I think 5 songs and a book that really isn't read much. I'm just adding my opinion because this is a regret purchase for me and yet the reviews are all terrific. Not a bad item; just not maybe worth the price to me.
