I Had This Strange Feeling... 04 August, 2008 I used the 'look inside' option at Amazon and tried 'cryptography'... Well... to my surprise, the first couple of pages felt like reading Shon Harris' "CISSP All-in-one Exam Guide". It was only a slightly condensed version of her book but the attempts at humor and light-heartedness were expanded. "Hmmmm...", I thought. Shon must have condensed her "All-in-one" and repackaged it as a "... for Dummies" product. But, then, I looked at the front page and I couldn't find her name there. She wasn't one of the 2 authors.
This is very interesting.

Does Not Replace The Cbk *at All*, But May Be Worth Review 24 October, 2008 I'm not sure if it was "just my luck", but absolutely none of the questions (and VERY few of the concepts) presented in this book were actually on my exam. Perhaps it's due to the continuous evolution of the test question base, but the questions on the exam were VERY specific. So STUDY THE MAIN ISC2 BOOK FIRST AND FREQUENTLY, and only use this "Dummies" book for additional light study.

Rugged Shelf-life 08 September, 2008 We received the book as requested. The Slightly used condition turned out to scuffed and dirty page edges. This was acceptable.
The delivery time was excellent!

Very Poor Content 28 November, 2008 I found this book a poor study guide for someone who needed to learn a lot about security to pass the CISSP (although I have been a developer for 20 years).
I finally gave up on this book (after reading it all) and bought Shon Harris's CISSP Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, 4th Ed. (All-in-One), that has a lot better content, reviews and reputation.
The electronic questions (a selling point for me) seemed a little trite and flimsy comparing them to the questions from cccure.org and SCCP CBK Book from ISC2 (other problems in that book).
I have only just started reading the All in One, so I'll see if that gets me past the exam. Wish me luck.

Quick Overview 14 June, 2008 Nutshell review - If you want a very fast, high level, quick, shallow, big picture overview of the CISSP exam then this will do. However, you will not pass the exam on this alone.
