Reload Your Mind With Gaap. Amazon's Price Is Solid.
25 February, 2010
This is a fantastic book for both beginners and recent graduates, like myself. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and like all of my peers, I'm nervous about taking the CPA exam. For me, this book was a great way to pass a month scraping the surface of material I learned in the first two or three courses I took in college. Use this book to set a foundation for your Accounting education and then seek college course-work for the "Intermediate" topics. If you have even the smallest interest in accounting, begin your education by purchasing (or borrowing) workbooks like this. For us grads, it's nothing we haven't seen before, but it is still a very helpful review of everything Financial and Managerial in accounting. So, grab your pencil and your calculator! It's going to be a fun ride!

Good For Accounting Beginners
01 November, 2009
The book was very helpful in reviewing the basics of accounting. It's even broken down pretty good so that someone with little or no accounting experience can learn it really well. I like the practice problems that are in each chapter and the fact they not only provide you with answers but the steps to arrive at the answers as well. The only problem I had with the book is that it doesn't help someone like me who is a little more advanced in accounting. I bought the book to help me with intermediate accounting but this book is more for someone who is in basic accounting 1.

Confusing For A Total Beginner
04 November, 2009
This workbook is OK if you have a small amount of accounting in your background, otherwise it is somewhat confusing as far as the word problems go. If you begin to work on this workbook with zero background in accounting then you will need to brush up on a few accounting rules before attacking the problems presented in this book.

Workbook Gets A Gold Star
08 February, 2010
From the point of view of practice work, it's a great resource. I like the exercises and find it reinforces my understanding. After all, theory is one thing, but being able to practice and confirm the math matches the theory, that's what I really needed.
