Western Pioneers Coloring Book 08 February, 2008 This is a great learning tool for youngsters. Great for everyone looking for a different application to learning about that great moment in American history (albeit one that made also changed Native American history, for sad and altogether painful reasons)- the shift of Americans away from the Atlantic coast toward the Pacific. Great for kids who have questions about what it would have looked like.

Entertaining And Educational 02 August, 2008 I greatly enjoyed this coloring book. I am an adult colorer but I'm sure children would also enjoy this coloring book.
Mr. Copeland draws people with varied expressions, and creates interesting scenarios with each picture.
Sometimes his horses are galloping so fast all four feet are off the ground--which I found amusing and enjoyable.
There is also information accompanying each picture, which tells about the experiences of the pioneers.
The only error I encountered was when Mr. Copeland mentioned teams of mules in regards to his picture, and the animals were drawn with donkey tails, but that's quite minor.
Highly recommended.
