Inspiring! Look Before You Read! 16 August, 2008 This review is in response to "Ripoff". Do you really look at a book before you read it? This book is published by Children's Press and is for ages 9-12. It was not intended for adults unless you want a quick read. Her real story is told in another book for adults, "Ice Bound". It is an interesting story of her amazing adventure and how she dealt with adversity.

A Great Book 08 December, 2007 I loved this book and read it this year, although it was published earlier. It was an honest book describing her trials and tribulations. She is a brave woman and this book was interesting to me, as I have always been fascinated by Antartica.

Survivalist Adventure 30 December, 2007 Have to disagree with the "pamphlet" characterization. This is an autobiographical story of a woman who had an extremely frightening experience at the edge of civilization. It's well written and enjoyable to read.

Ripoff 22 May, 2007 If you expect a book you're going to be disappointed. This thing is a large print pamplet with less text than a newspaper article. If Amazon supports scams like this, I think I'll stick to Barnes & Noble.
