Stupendous, Prodigious, Olympian, Exceptional, Collosal 13 August, 2006 I'm having a lot of fun with this book. The best part is the relative frequency information. I"m going through it and checking all the words I know, then will go and study the others, concentrating on the ones that have been proven by Dr Parkinson's corpus to be the most frequent in the Arabic press, the words that statistically show up daily, or weekly, in Al-Ahram and Al-Hayat. This project will keep me busy, as I estimate there over 4,000 synomyms listed. The examples are great.

Long Overdue 21 February, 2007 Where has this lexicon tool been all my life? Arabic is a language so rich in words with synonymous shades of meaning, other Arabic tools so far have failed to help students adequately study all the interconnected words. This language tool is invaluable, and has been long overdue.

Many Words Missing 17 April, 2007 This book is a fantastic idea and has many useful synonyms. You can look the words up in Arabic or English which saves times. The author also puts each of the synonyms into sentences which is very useful. If you want to use this book to look up words as you read newspapers, novels, or other printed and broadcast media, it's less useful. It seems as though everytime I look up a word, it's not in this dictionary. This book is a good resource....just don't expect it to have most or all of the words you are seeking.
