Don't Waste Your Money

This was a waste of money. Most advice was common sense that anyone over 25 has heard many times.

Excellent Icebreakers
28 May, 2009
The best part of this book is how to break the ice. I never know how to start a conversation myself when talking to strange people at parties or social work functions. This gave me some great ideas how to just be curious about people and start conversations. Of course, after you start a conversation it is partial up to the other person to keep it going. That helps me get over the feelings of rejection.

So So

so so book. If you are terrible at conversations this book will help, but if you want to be really good, this book isn't very helpful. It is a good start however.

Book Looked Good, But Cd Is Terrible
20 August, 2009
Given that Don Gabor is supposed to be a gifted conversationalist, I could not believe how incredibly awkward he sounds on this CD. I bought it to listen to in the car with my son, who has Asperger syndrome, and he recognized immediately that the sample conversations were stilted and unrealistic. Anyone who immitated the people on this CD would be a laughing stock at school or work.
While the ideas in the book are good, the CD is torture. Don't waste your money.
