Mcdst Review 17 March, 2009 It is an easy to follow book but you must already have a grounding for PC's before starting this type of course. It is divided into sections and the index is easy to use. The book is supplied on a CD as an electronic version also. Windows xp pro(trial) is also supplied to use with the course, so no additional software is needed.MCDST Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-271): Supporting Users and Troubleshooting a Microsoft® Windows® XP Operating System, Second Edition (Pro-Certification)

Good, Brief, And Repetitive. May Sound Boring But... 16 February, 2009 Good, brief, and repetitive. May sound boring but it is good for short attentioned span people or people with only just have a short attention. Not recommended for the Power User or expert readers.
Paragraphs and Side Notations often repeats itself. And then summarized again at the end. Like myself, some believe that repetition is a good thing but not good for people that are seeking "tell me what I need to know now" in less than 30 or 20 words per pararaphs. (And I hope you know what I mean.)
The CD is good. It has an electronic copy of the book and (repeated) test questions simulated in a real testing environment.
