CHALLENGES. Failing a class, getting dumped and figuring out where you fit in, are all difficult high school challenges. Finding the answer is not always easy. And let's face it, your parents may give you advice, but rarely do they really know where you’re coming from. So, if you’re looking for the real deal on issues like anorexia, dating, or helping a friend in trouble, you've come to the right place. So What's the Deal? The good news about tackling challenges is that you end up stronger and smarter once you reach the other side. These stories are from teenagers just like you who have gone through many of the same problems and survived. Whether it’s standing up to the mean girl in the cafeteria or staying true to yourself under peer pressure, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: The Real Deal Challenges tells you the absolute truth about what it means to be a teen.

Bad Soup 20 August, 2006 Like I've said I really like Chicken Soup Books.I love the storys. So when this book came out I could'nt wait to read it.
Yet this book was a real dissapiontment.Their were'nt enough stories. There was to much commentary by the author, little tidbits and addons. The only story I can say I liked was Chain Reaction. It's a story about not judging people to quickly.Other than that nothing esle.

Being A Teen-ager 21 February, 2007 I liked the book cause it gives you good advice, and it gives you tips, tells how to get your-self out a bad situation to a good situation. It also tells you the importance of being in love. Also explains groups, cliques, classes, clubs and more. It let you yest your-self as if you were doing good or bad. I also liked the book because it gives you poems that will make your day feel better. Tells you about the Social Scene, Everyday Life, Outsiders, Grown up Factor, Tough Stuff, Life Outside the Classroom, Love, Getting Real, being a Teen-ager, and last but not least... The Real Deal!!!

Good For Girls 07 October, 2008 I got this book for my 13yr old son who is an avid reader and really enjoys the Chicken Soup books. However, he was not excited about this one. He said the stories mostly applied to girls so it was hard for him to connect with it. It seemed to have more of a "study format" (like the ladies bible studies I participate in or devotionals with questions).

Amazing Stories 05 September, 2006 Well, I don't know what the other reviewer was reading, but this was the best collection of stories in a Chicken Soup book yet. All of these stories are written by teens, and they talk about some of the grittiest stuff I've ever read. I mean, imagine being kidnapped by your own mother, or helping your friend through a suicidal breakdown. It doesn't get any more real than that. It's just great to know that there are other teens experiencing the same kinds of craziness I see every day. I take this book with me everywhere. I like the quizzes and other stuff too when I need a break from reading.
