Chapters include: "The Origins of Dance", "The Language of Dance", "Taking a Dance Class", "Writing a Dance Review", "The Ballet", "Modern Dance", "Dance as a Cultural Voice", "Classical to Folk" and "Hip Hop". Within these chapters are a variety of sample dance reviews, word searches, evaluation rubrics and key terms for each style. This is an excellent resource as a "memory-jogger" and it gives practical written assignments for the shortened and dance history periods. These are lessons that any high school dance teacher can use. I look forward to using this excellent resource.
