Editorial Review / Publisher's Information:

Product Description
With gentle, joyful illustrations, this celebration of the potential in each person illuminates the simple ways the world can be a better place — because of you.

Each time a child is born,
the world changes.

Each child brings to the world one more person to love and care for — and one more person who can love and care for others. As children grow and learn, they can teach others and share feelings, ideas, and things. Just as each of us sometimes needs help, we can also find ways to help others. The author and illustrator of MY BOOK OF THANKS reunite to show, through everyday examples, how acts of kindness, understanding, and generosity — no matter how small — can make all the difference in the world.

 • Cute

Nice sentiment but not as good as "someday". This focuses on peace in the word and how it only takes one person to make a difference.

 • Great Children's Book
08 December, 2007

I've read this book to my son since he was an infant and he's now 3. It shows your child how important he is in this world and what he can do to change it -- without being too preachy. Great for everyone, young and old!

 • Sweet Book!
07 January, 2008

What a sweet, positive message for little ones. I love that this book drives home the idea that a happy, peaceful world can start with a little child. The illustrations are beautiful and the message important. I have already bought another as a baby gift. If you like this one, you'll also enjoy "My Book of Thanks" by the same author and illustrator.

 • A Message For All Humans
25 December, 2007

I know this book is for kids, but I received it as a grownup's gift and was in tears before I got to the third page. The message this book imparts gives a gentle reminder that we all bring something to the world and our very existence is something to be treasured. It also reminds the reader that we have the potential to bring positive action to our world and the people in it. These are valuable thoughts for readers of any age. It's the core message of Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life" but in a far more accessible story. The next time I'm having a bad day or I feel discouraged about my life, I will turn to this little book with a very profound message and read it again and again. This a keeper--for life.
