Average Sign Language Book 14 February, 2008 I own many sign language books/dictionaries. I have to say that this one gets a lot of shelf time. I do not like the format. Most dictionaries are alphabetical order. This dictionary is inconveniently grouped in sections.
Things that I do like about the dictionary is that it does give a nice explaination of what your hands are doing, usage (puts the word in a sentence) and many times origin of the sign.
If you were only to get one dictionary this is not the one(I would prefer the American Sign Language Dictionary if only purchasing one), but if you would like a nice reference book to add to your collection this is a fine one.
