Good Primer On Campaign Websites 21 May, 2006 It has become de rigeur for political campaigns of any size to have a website. They are indispensable for getting the message out, rallying the troops, raising money, and establishing and maintaining momentum.
This book gives the theoretical basics to constructing a campaign website, keeping it lively, and integrating it into the overall strategy, tactics, and organization of the modern political campaign.
The book strongly and confidently lays out the necessary considerations. I only gave it four stars, because it has a lot of repetition. It could have been better if it had lost about 30 pages of superfluous material. Still, I highly recommend it as a basic work for campaign professionals and candidates who are considering how to go about setting up and maintaining a campaign website.

For The Couch Potato Candidate. 10 July, 2003 You will find out standard methods of using the internet to run a campaign, but it won't get you elected. I bought several of these books as I am a precint person. I found no help at all from this book, and it had nearly the same advice the other two had. Read it, but not much help. A sucessful candidate is one face to face talker.

Excellent Resource For Campaign Staffers & Junkies 13 October, 2003 As a campaign consultant and Web strategist, this book is my "go to" guide for everything related to the Internet. There are still many candidates who don't appreciate the importance of a well-created and maintained Website and this book explains step-by-step why such a dynamic medium is necessary in our era of 24-hour information. I highly recommend this book to all campaign staff members, political junkies and students who are studying about campaigns!
