Product Description In & Out is a horse tale like no other. A sprawling narrative filled with romance, intrigue, and excitement, it also provides a clear-eyed and wholly realistic view of the equestrian world, offering the kind of authentic details about horses, riding techniques, and business practices that only an insider could provide. At the center of the story stands Jericho Brandeis, an ambitious yet untamed man who seeks glory on his own terms. An intriguing cast of characters surrounds him, including the wealthy patron Bob Marx, the only man who can help Jericho realize his dreams, Marx's sexy young wife, Darien, whose illicit love could become Jericho's downfall, U.S. Chef d'Equip Chuck Frankel, the closest thing to a father figure Jericho has ever known, hunk bartender Trevor Braeden, Jericho's friend and rival, and the indomitable stallion Chasseur de Lion, an alluring yet potentially fatal challenge to Jericho's considerable horsemanship. Jericho must maneuver his way through a hazardous maze of violence, corruption, and seduction if he is to fulfill his aspirations at the World Equestrian Games. The adventures of Jericho Brandeis, full of passion, promise, and turmoil, will thrill all lovers of horses and of adventure and romance.

A Great Story Of Horses, riders And The Horse Show World 24 July, 2008 I've read this book 3 times and pick up something new each time. Who wouldn't fall in love with Jericho! QL, Starbucks, Chuck, what a team! Being an old hunter/jumper rider, it was good to read a book that was written by someone who knows what she is talking about. Makes me want to go to a show, with my cup of caffeine from Starbucks!! See you at HITS!! and hopefully a sequel will be in the works!!

Mercedes Raye 20 August, 2007 This is one of my favorite books. Yes it certainly is an adults book but it has a great story line. I only hope that Barbara Moss write a sequel. Great book!!!

Entertaining, For Horse People 29 October, 2007 I agree with the reviewer who said the redeeming value of the book is the depiction of the horses and the horse world, and also agree that even that is stereotypical. The main character has to be one of the most one-dimensional, obnoxious protagonatists I've come across in a long time, or ever! The writing is really bad. So why do I give it 3 stars? Somehow the writer pulls it off. She's a great story teller, who knows exactly where to put the twists and turns in the plot to keep you going just when you think you've had enough of angry Jericho and really bad prose. Kudos to Barbara Moss for that. And, amazingly, I've decided I'll buy her next book. But she's no Jilly Cooper, and this is not Riders (which is not exactly great literatute either but still the best of the genre).

Couldn't Finish This Trash, Horselovers Beware! 07 March, 2008 I had wanted to read a good novel about horses and their riders...I was sorely disappointed. I can't even say that at least the end was good, because I couldn't get that far. I read over 400 pages of annoying fragmented sentences, and was amazed at the shallowness and hostility of the characters, who were always either 'snarling,' 'sneering,'or 'purring' to one another...these are obviously the author's favorite verbs. The horses are just part of the background scene, rather than the focus of the story, and the intricacies of caring for show horses were really not described at all. It seems the author was far more interested in describing the parties, sex, and brawls than anything else. The lack of proofreading and editing was obvious. The only amazing thing about this book was that it somehow got published. I had heard it was comparable to Jilly Cooper's "Riders" but it does not even come close.
