Heartbreaking And Inspirational 25 May, 2009 I was somewhat familiar with this story from watching television. But I was unprepared for the sadness and heartbreak in this book. Multiple passages from private diaries, prayer journals, as well as excepts from a public blog highlight the story in a poignant manner. I did however find the two families faith in Christ to be an inspiring example.

I Grew Up With Laura! 28 May, 2009 This was an extremely hard read, because I grew up with the VanRyn's in high school and at UPBC. It is such a tragedy, but the beauty is in how the VanRyn's have reacted to this crisis. Their faith is inspiring and it encourages those who do not have faith to believe and those who do, to continue to look to Christ for healing and strength!!!

Astonishing Mistake 30 June, 2009 This story amazes in two ways: how could such a mistake be made for so long? and how two families could experience the amazing grace of God so fully in the face of such heartbreak.
The book can be read in a day; indeed it is almost a page-turner, as the families involved slowly come to a shocking realization that their daughters have been switched. How they deal with this situation is a true faith-builder and a glorious testimony to the overcoming power of the Holy Spirit at work in daily lives.

Mesmerizing 01 July, 2009 I was so glad I bought this book. It was a wonderful read. What a fantastic perspective from both families, and a Survivor.
What a heartful book with such honesty.
I recommend this book to anyone that wants to read about inspiration and hope during the most horrible and difficult of times.
