Product Description In the time of the Han Dynasty in ancient China, a young orphan prepares for a difficult journey. Ping has grown to become a skilled Dragon Keeper, but her greatest challenge is yet to come. After rescuing the baby dragon, Kai, from the evil Emperor, she brings him to a safe haven near the border of the Empire. Now, as Kai grows into a restless young dragon, Ping faces a tough decision. She must find a way to take Kai to the ancient haven of the dragons. Following cryptic clues left by the wise dragon, Danzi, Ping and Kai set off on a long and dangerous journey filled with old friends and new enemies. But the biggest surprise awaits them at the end of their travels, when Ping quickly learns that the hardest part of being a Dragon Keeper may be realizing when it's time to let go.
With this story of tender friendships and heroic adventure, Carole Wilkinson brings her epic trilogy about dragons in ancient China to a thrilling and satisfying end.

Loved The Entire Trilogy 15 November, 2008 All three books in this series were very good! My daughter (10 yo) and I thouroughly enjoyed the adventure together and it left us wanting more. Ping (10 yo main character)has such strength of character and integrity to do what is right for the dragons and learns so much along the way! It is quite violent but such a good read.

The Last Chapter Of Dragon Keeper 07 August, 2008 IN THIS BOOK PING AND KAI MAKE A JOURNEY TO THE DRAGON HAVEN, FOLLOWING THE CLUES LEFT BY DANZI THEY MEET UP WITH OLD FRIENDS AND NEW ENEMIES. IN CASE YOUR WANDERING THERE ARE NO REAL ENEMIES JUST BAD PEOPLE THAT SHOW UP AT A BAD TIME. WHILE PING SEES MORE OF CHINA THAN SHE EVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE KAI GROWS RESTLESS (NOT TO MENTION SHEDDING HIS PURPLE SCALES AS GREEN ONES GROW BENEATH THEM). NEAR THE END OF THE BOOK WE FIND THAT KAI IS NOT THE ONLY DRAGON IN THE WORLD. AT DRAGON HAVEN WE LEARN MORE ABOUT DANZI'S PAST. HOWEVER ONE DRAGON (A BIG BLACK ONE) IS NOT AT ALL PLEASED WITH THE NEWCOMERS. HAVING A DISTAST FOR KAI AND A DOWNRIGHT HATRED FOR PING AND HUMANS IN GENERAL. TO FIND OUT MORE READ THE BOOK BUT I WILL SAY THIS: DANZI WAS NO ORDINARY DRAGON AND NEITHER IS KAI.
