They give specific details as they movingly describe their astounding experiences. After reading Journey of Souls, you will gain a better understanding of the immortality of the human soul. Amazon.com Journey of Souls is a controversial yet inspiring investigation of the big question we all face at one point or another: "What happens after we die?" To find the answer, Newton opens cases from his private practice in which he hypnotically regressed his clients to a point between lives--after death, but before birth. Not only does Newton grapple with reincarnation, the spirit world, and the nature of the human soul, he also tackles equally sticky questions such as "Is there a Heaven and Hell?" and "What are ghosts?" Readers with a penchant for skepticism will balk at the lack of physical evidence to back up the claims in Journey of Souls, but the book remains a reassuring voice, affirming that our existence is not limited to the boundaries of our mortal flesh. --Brian Patterson

Resonates 21 July, 2008 I am an objective type. My science degree encourages physical evidence, where logic, objectivity, and physical proof are highly valued. I can only say, this book resonated with me. I bought it because I had an experience that I could neither explain, nor get comfortable with. So, just like any scientist, I gathered information. This was one of the books I picked up. More than any other, it resonated with me in ways I cannot explain. So, I write this review, not because it is logical or scientific, but because I feel compelled to do so. You should read this book. It may bring back some far away memory, as it did within me.

The Fear Of Death And Dying Is Gone! 07 July, 2008 That's all I have to say. It is worth that alone to read both these books. But there's so much more. You might as well buy more than one copy as you will keep giving it away!!

Best Book I Ever Read... 14 August, 2008 I've read hundreds of spiritual books and this one is "by far" my favorite. My second favorite book is Destiny of Souls... there are a lot of good spiritual books on the market but there are not a lot of great ones. These books are GREAT! I've purchased and given away hundreds of these books over the years... Don't miss this one... this book answers many questions left unanswered by organized religion and it will help you live a rich and meaningful life.

I'm Not Convinced... 02 August, 2008 A good friend recommended this book to me and I ordered it in high anticipation of its arrival.
Unfortunately, as I read along, I found myself doubting the conclusions/opinions of the author regarding his clinical experience with a variety of patients and individuals. In other words, the author did not supply any empirical evidence that his conclusions were correct. Too much was left to the unproven veracity of the patients and his subjective opinion.
Otherwise, its not a bad read as it does open you up to a pretty comforting belief about death and the aftermath.

Definitely Fascinating. 15 July, 2008 I've always believed in reincarnation and that what we do in this life will affect our future ones, but I never thought about all the details and what might happen inbetween. This book was fascinating in that it answered any question I would have had if I would have thought to ask it.
Most of it makes perfect sense: The extremely vivid experience of Deja Vu, sexual preferences and that feeling like you've known someone all your life who you've just recently met.
The problem I had with this book, and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that at times it seemed a little sci-fi and far-fetched. (It wouldn't surprise me if there was an audio book version out there read by William Shatner.) :P
That being said, the book still kept my interest and got me thinking.
I just wish it was a little less 'astral plane' and a little more down to earth.
