Very Convenient Reference
18 August, 2009
This is a very handy little reference ASSUMING you are planning your meals around diabetic exchanges and don't already know how most foods are classified and what their serving sizes are. Yes, the information is on the internet and you can find it, copy it, reformat it, print it out, and carry around your own little wad of paper, or you can buy this tidy little booklet and move on to more important things.

I highly recommend this little book for anyone who is trying to lose or maintain weight, whether or not they are diabetic. It contains a lot of helpful information in a convenient size and easy-to-use format. It is organized by food group ("exchange") and also lists calories for each group. With this book I can quickly look up the food group and calorie count for an item, to keep my diet on track!

Diabetes
04 November, 2009
I picked this up for my wife who found out recently that she has diabetes.
It has been very helpful to her and myself to understand the complexities of diabetes and the proper foods to be consumed to maintain a healthy blood sugar level. Thank you and I would be very much inclined to purchase from this seller again. Glen

Helpful And Concise
11 November, 2009
This is a great little guide that I can carry around with me wherever I go. It's nicely organized and provides just enough information to help me make the right choices for my meal plans.
While it isn't a comprehensive listing of all the foods available, it does cover most of the food items one usually encounters on a regular basis. You won't find exotic ingredients, for example, but you will find most of what you need.
I'd recommend this book for anyone serious about meal planning, whether diabetic or not.
