After thoroughly reading Todd Lammle's CCNA study guide and going through CBT Nuggets, I can honestly say that this is probably the best study guide available for the CCNA certification. Wendell Odom explains things quite easily and understandably. I'm only on chapter 5 but i'm quite pleased with the material. I may skip the chapter on subnetting because i feel Jeremy Cicora (CBT Nuggets) is the best teacher on such a difficult topic. I love the way he teaches frame-relay and WAN protocols in general. When I first started studying for my CCNA the topics in this book seemed quite difficult, so I would recommend reading other material first, mainly Todd Lammles study guide, doing the hands-on, then CBT Nuggets, more hands on then finally completing the studying process with Wendel Odoms study guide. This book is such a joy to read!!! Hats of to Cisco Press on this title!!! You really can't go wrong.
I also recommend picking up 2 2620xm routers with 12.4 IOS, 2 2950 switches and using Packet Tracer as well.
Honestly, the topics in the CCNA course really are not that difficult. I think the MCSE is much more difficult as the MCSE exams cover a range of topics but Cisco is just mainly Routing and Routing protocols. Cisco is more hardware while MS is software.

Ok this is my first review so pls dont laugh if i do something wrong. :-)
The books i have received are great. First of all package was super, no damage on the product what so ever.
Regarding the books, they are so well written and i would advise all ppl willing to learn networking, CISCO style, to get these two books.
Thanks Amazon for providing me a chance to get these products, because in Croatia i was able to find only one of the two, and that one was an older version. Funny thing is, that 1 book was more expensive than the new version double package.

This book looks really good on my shelf. I haven't read it and don't really have any interest in becoming CCNA certified, but there is a small, overlapping group of women who will both enter my house & be impressed by CCNA study guides, so I bought it as an attempt to cancel out all the pornography. I will update the review if it works!
