Low Carb Eating
20 August, 2009
I absolutely LOVE Low-Carb Cookbooks and the first edition of this book I use and is on my counter exclusively.
This second one while it has 500 more recipes from around the world I find it a bit harder to navigate as the titles of many of the recipes use peoples names such as Stephanie Hill's Creamy Cauliflower and Bacon Casserole or MY ALL TIME FAVORITE in this book Gwen Meehan's Yummy Chicken Casserole. Thus it is hard to remember all that. Being a cookbook collector all these years I am used to just going to the category, Chicken, Fish, Veggies etc. and even in the index which is extensive they are listed that way so I have not tried as many of the recipes as I have in her first edition but overall if you are a Low-Carb eater this Book has some yummy recipes. It even has a bonus chapter on how to make your own sugar-free staples, ketchup, BBQ Sauce, Hoisin Sauce, Teriyaki Sauce etc.

Great Book

Gene Simmons is an inspiration and just uses good common sense. I recommend this to everyone. No matter what people may think of Gene, he is really a down to earth person with great knowledge. Just because he is a rock n roll star doesn't mean he isn't smart. Just look at his life! He writes about what he knows.

Easy Recipes
23 February, 2010
I love all Dana's cookbooks. They are easy to read, cook from, and delicious. I started a low carb lifestyle several months ago and she explains the ingredients and what to have on hand. I just started cooking a few months ago, too, and if this wasn't easy, I certainly wouldn't be doing it. I'm a middle age adult who hated to cook.

Wonderful Recipes

Finally! A book that is really responsive to low carb needs. The majority of recipes in this book are very "doable" and taste good too. I also recommend the 15 minute recipe book by Dana Carpendar!

Too Much Fat In Recipes!
14 December, 2009
Bottom line, these recipes are high protein, low carbs, but TOO MUCH FAT!!! Ordered this book looking forward to a wide variety of culinary adventures and found the ingredients often hard to find and very high fat contents...NOT HEART HEALTHY!
