This is not a bad book to read. I was expecting something else. If you are new, or just interested in BDSM and Fetish life, I would recommend "Different Loving" as a starting point. "Loving" is an excellent primer for the psychology encountered in BDSM. Subsequently, you may enjoy "Bottoming" as a quick weekend read about scenes and scenarios. Do not expect specifics or formulas for a scene (e.g. tie a slip knot around spacer bar and remember to avoid spanking the upper buttocks as there is a nerve cluster that resents being rough -housed) There are other books for that.

The book does state the obvious, but is a very good read. a lot of good information for subs, bottoms or Dominants/Tops. Covers all the fundamentals

I thought this book contained a lot of useful information, at least for me. Although some of the things described were a bit out there for me, they may not be for everyone. The writers are clearly experienced in the lifestyle, which was refreshing to find out. It isn't a 'how to' manual on bottoming. It's more of an advice type book.
