Well-rounded, But Not For The Scholarly 01 June, 2009 This book was intended for complete beginners who know very little about adrenal fatigue. I skimmed through the first half of the book fairly quickly, as most of the information it contains can be gleaned from browsing the internet for a few hours.
I really enjoyed Part 4 which explained how the adrenals actually work. I am the type of person who likes to know what is going on in my body, and this answered it well. This part was worth the price of the book for me. However, I would have liked to see more explanation about the hormones pregnenolone, DHEA and the sex hormones, and how they function in the body.
A few parts of the book left me hanging. Swollen ankles in the evening is a sign of adrenal fatigue, but the author doesn't explain why. I like to know why!
The chapter on food allergies and sensitivites piqued my interest because I never thought my allergies were related to adrenal fatigue. Unfortunately, the author doesn't state why this occurs or how to remedy it. Other than avoid eating foods you are allergic to. Well... DUH!
If you really want to delve into the world of adrenal fatigue, this book will disappoint. If you want a basic explanation of what is wrong with you and how to fix it and get on with your life, you'll enjoy this book.

A Perfect Appetizer 08 June, 2009 This book provides a lot of information in a fun, easy-to-read way. This is a complicated issue and the hormones are not easy to understand. So, this book fills a niche and was probably ground-breaking when it was published in 2002. It has the look of a self-published book, but it is not. It has the look of a book from the 1980s, with large print and cartoon drawings. Go ahead and get it, but if you're really researching this topic, you are going to want more information and perhaps in a more mature presentation with more references and resources. Fortunately, I ordered the book show below by Shames at the same time, not because Amazon is promoting them together (Wilson is smart to pair his book with the one by Shames), but because the Shames book looked so interesting. It is great.
Take a look at Feeling Fat, Fuzzy, or Frazzled?: A 3-Step Program to: Restore Thyroid, Adrenal, and Reproductive Balance, Beat Hormone Havoc, and Feel Better Fast! by Richard Shames. This author goes into much more detail and also makes recommendations for products from some respected firms, which you might find useful.

Excellent Book 22 May, 2009 This book gives a great presentation of a common, but overlooked, medical condition. It is written so that most of it is easily understood with a high school education.
If you are tired and can't get rested, read this book and discuss it with your doctor.

Best Primer Out There For Adrenal Fatigue 16 June, 2009 I've suffered from adrenal burnout for years and now know it comes from my hypothalamus. Did following the program in this book cure me? No, I was too far gone for that, and following the program is like triage in that it helps me not to make things worse. But for someone in the beginning stages of adrenal fatigue or even someone who just wants to learn more about the adrenals and how they function, this is the best book I've found. The author gives instructions for completing a test on yourself to determine if you have adrenal fatigue. This same test was the primary one my chiropractic neurologist used on me the first time I saw him.

Life Saver 13 June, 2009 Despite various tests and appointments with numerous specialists, no one could find anything wrong with me. I was unable to function, despite normal test results. I decided to take things into my own hands and found this book while doing internet research. I finally found a naturopathic doctor that confirmed my condition of adrenal fatigue This book has been a health bible for me and I read it often, primarily when I have a set back. It is a must read if conventional medicine and diagnoses have abandoned you.
