Customer Reviews:

 • Not A Bad Product
08 January, 2008

I think this set of flash cards are good enough for learning Mandarin as second language. No flash cards can serve all the purposes. This product obvious is designed for either bilingual kids or second language kids. By the way, the Chinese character on the "tomato" flash card is what most mainland Chinese people would call. Tomato is also called "Fan Qie" by Chinese people in some other areas of the world.

 • Not Designed To Teach How To Read Chinese
26 November, 2007

This would have been a much better product if the Chinese was on the back of the flashcard instead of being on the same side as the picture. My kid only looks at the picture and not at the actual Chinese character underneath it. If you are trying to teach your child how to read Chinese, then this is not the right product for you. Complete beginners who cannot speak the language may find this product useful, but we did not. By the way, the word for tomato on the flash card is some archaic term that I have never heard of.
