You may enter the ISBN references either with or without hyphens, but remember that only ISBN-10 references have any letters in them at all, which is in the instance where the letter "X" happens to be used as the check-digit (ie. the tenth position). ISBN-13 check-digits are all numbers, and hence ISBN-13's are composed entirely of digits.
